Dryden Goodwin

                                                                 Dryden Goodwin.
 my first thoughts
my first thoughts on these drawings were that it was nothing to compare what I've seen because it was so different yet so unique, for me it's amazingly done because it's rough but it's so clear to see the stranger's face. it's beautiful in a way of drawing different people from different cultures.

what materials and processes have been used?
In this picture I can see drawings of people in pencil. men and female from different cultures, the drawings are done in a technique that is rough but is clear when it comes to the point of actually making it look like the person. In the background there is only the sheet of paper that has the drawing on it, which is placed with other drawings of people's faces.

Background artist
the artist who made this piece is Dryden Goodwin. The portraits were drawn in a variety of locations such as train operator’s cabs, signalling towers, management offices, station control rooms, ticket offices and gates.  the title of this artwork is Linear it was made in 2010.

Meaning
I think that the drawings are about how mixed this country has become because there are variety of different cultures in theses drawings and it amazes me on how wonderful it is because there are some that might not even be the race you might it think it is.

What do you think of it?
the artist has done well on the capturing the detail of the person's face by making it look like them. If I could change one thing about this artwork, it would be adding a bit of colour to the faces and objects such as hats, earrings etc. and also add in the upper half of the body because as well as we can see the emotions on they're faces, we could of also saw the body language of how they're feeling. I would like to ask the artist why he decided to draw portraits of people on the Jubilee line staff members?, why was it only 60?, how did you came up with the technique of the drawing?

Last Thoughts
my thoughts hasn't changed because I still think that the art pieces are so more a like it makes the audience think of gender and race, which I think it's really affective because by making people think about the artwork really shows a mystery behind the meaning.

 Compare
These two art pieces are from Dryden Goodwin as you can see these are drawings of two men, first thing you know about these two drawings is that they're black and white, which  you can tell from the dark lines
